“Queen of Welsh resorts ”
A tale of two shores
The town has two superb beaches – the North Shore, with its wide promenade backed by an imposing crescent of Victorian hotels and shops, which is a ten minute walk away or the more sedate West Shore where Wave Crest is situated with a shoreline backed by miles of sandy dunes and superb views towards Angelsey.
Llandudno lies between two headlands, the Great Orme and the Little Orme and it is these headlands, and the town’s two waterfronts, that give this tourist resort its timeless appeal.
The majestic Great Orme is a mere stone’s throw from Wave Crest. The more energetic guest can climb up to the 679ft summit or it may be reached using either the Great Orme Tramway or by taking an exciting cable car ride of over a mile. Look out for our wild Kashmiri goats when exploring the Orme. It is also possible to spot Marine wildlife, seals, porpoises and even dolphins on occasion.
The town has an excellent selection of shops, pubs, restaurants and cafés, as well as Venue Cymru, which is North Wales’ premier theatrical stage for opera, ballet, musicals, comedy and visiting orchestras, boasting a programme that is second to none – all this is and about 15 minutes walk from the property along a wide flat boulevard which joins the two shores.
Further Afield
Just four miles away is the town of Conwy a designated world heritage site. A true medieval gem, Conwy is dominated by a splendid castle and is completely enclosed by its well-preserved town walls.
A coastal cycle path that starts just outside our property continues all the way to Conwy, passing near by the delightful small town of Deganwy with is antique shops and pavement café.
Many of our guests put their car away during their stay at Wave Crest, there is so much to do and all within walking distance.
The Great Orme, Goats, Cable car, Tramway, High Street, Venue Cymru theatre and two beaches.
Discover miles of sandy beaches along the North Wales coast and excellent walking and climbing in the Snowdonia National Park, just 20 minutes’ drive away. Bring your canoe and pop across the road, or just put your feet up and enjoy the sensational sea and mountain views.
Whatever you decide – there’s plenty to do.

Testimonials
We have had another great holiday at Wave Crest.
We have booked again for next year. I think that says it all!
Just make sure you arrange another spot of good weather Alison – I’m imagining sitting on the decking with a gin and tonic and watching the sun go down over the sea already.
My friend and I have just spent another wonderful week at Wavecrest. As soon as you walk in you are greeted by the most amazing aroma. The whole property smells so fresh, and as you walk around , you are greeted by room after room of utter perfection. This is our second year here, and we were absolutely delighted to be back. The weather was cold, windy, and drizzly, but it really didn’t matter. Wavecrest is so comfy and the views are so amazing, we didn’t mind at all. We loved to just sit and watch the kite surfers in the bay, and in the evenings, when the sun came out, it was lovely to just cross the road, have a little walk, then sit and watch the world go by. The cafe at the bottom of the road is well worth a visit, and it’s nice to have somewhere so close to eat…but beware of the seagulls if you eat outside!! I cannot fault Wavecrest in any way. There are so many thoughtful little touches, which you will only find as you wander round the property. As an older lady, I appreciate the warm, fluffy bath mats, and the nice chair in my ensuite bathroom. The very effective central heating is also a bonus on those chilly days. The welcome pack is indeed very welcomed…we particularly loved the Waitrose chocolates and the wine! The kitchen has everything you need to make it a home from home , which indeed , is what Wavecrest is . I can completely and heartily recommend a holiday at Wavecrest. It’s so peaceful there, with everything you need for your comfort, but it’s only a few minutes from all the hustle and bustle of the town. Perfect!
What a fabulous location, perfect view and glorious sunsets, everything you could need in the cottage a short stroll takes you to beach ,a 10 minute walk into Llandudno town centre, there’s a bus stop at the corner , a beach cafe 100 yards away.We felt relaxed the moment we arrived a welcome pack made everything perfect. The best holiday we’ve had in years, the location puts all the attractions of Wales in easy reach.we will definitely be back.
Wavecrest really is a wonderful holiday home and Alison and her family couldn’t be better hosts – nothing is too much trouble and their attention to detail is superb. The location is perfect for exploring North Wales and for lazy days just looking over the sea to Anglesey, walking along the beach and watching the magnificent sunsets. A real gem!
Very clean and beautifully presented house overlooking the sea that you can sit out in the summer with a Gin & tonic or like we did sit upstairs looking out over the stormy seas in the comfort that is wavecrest in a blowy December. The house is stunning in everyway and sits on a quite street with the hustle and bustle of the busy town a walk away. Been here in summer and in winter and both times were just perfect. Thank you Alison and the team.
Once again we had a lovely holiday and the cottage was beautiful .We were able to visit many places which we had not been to before including Cheshire Oaks.
We went to Liverpool yesterday as we have never been there before.
We have had an amazing time and didn’t want to leave.
Wave Crest is the perfect destination for my husband and I.
We are in our eighties and my husband is not keen on walking these days. However he enjoys admiring the view outside the windows and is quite happy with that. I can get out and about and enjoy walking along the promenade and the flat walk into town.
The house is very convenient with two ground floor bedrooms each one has its own amenities.
My daughter and husband have the upstairs suite and are quite separate from us. The view from the kitchen is lovely. A summer evening on the decking with a gin and tonic and the sun set can’t be beaten.
The house is clean and comfortable and everything is of the best standard. I enjoy cooking in the kitchen and watching the sea views at the same time.
The beds are very comfortable and with that and the sea air we sleep better than at home.
I can recommend a holiday at Wave Crest and in Llandudno too, there is something for everyone. We will be back soon.
We spend a wonderful week in Wavecrest. The accommodation is absolutely perfect, beautiful sea views, comfortable accommodation with everything you could possibly need, and in a lovely quiet location, but just a short walk away from the centre. The house was immaculate, and just as the photos described. Really friendly, helpful owners and we would thoroughly recommend. We had never been to Llandudno before, and would also recommend the area. There is so much to see and do, right on your doorstep. All round, a brilliant week!
We left my elderly parents at Wave Crest in comfort while we went exploring the area. They enjoyed watching the world go by, and the ever changing sea scape.
They enjoyed walking on the flat promenade too on sunny days.
We had some mixed weather and some windy days but we felt warm and comfortable in this glorious setting.
The house is excellent, well appointed and very clean.
We like having a separate sitting room upstairs with fantastic views, while the older generation claim the downstairs sitting room also with great views.
My mother cooked and she found the kitchen well appointed. Her main criticism was she had to stand with her back to the view when she was cooking at the hob! She appreciated the hand blender too!
We will return next summer if not before.
We often book to see a show at Venue Cymru when we come to stay at Wave Crest. My husband and I enjoy fine dining and we have had plenary of choice of excellent restaurants in this area.
Wave Crest is well appointed and beautifully kept – we are never disappointed on arrival.
The views alone are worth travelling for. Wave Crest feels like our second home, we are looking forward to many future holidays here.
